Aloha and Mahalo

Friday the 5th was a good day in Hawaii, today we rose with enthusiasm as we woke up from our dreams of coral reefs and Humuhumunukunukuapuaa’s (Don’t ask!). We left the hotel at 8:30 after another beautiful breakfast on the beach, and were on our way in different smaller vans who would all take us to Hanauma bay. After we arrived we had some time to snorkel at the reefs before they were forced to get everybody out of the water due to a jellyfish infestation!!! What an adventure.
After returning to the hotel, we had some time to tan on the beach, get dressed and eat before heading over to paradise cove for a night of Hawaiian festivities. Here we had the chance to get henna tattoos, weave wreaths, and experience some Hawaiian food and hula dance.
Even after a week of constant travel we still had enough energy to scream out loud and party on the bus ride back to the hotel, something that lasted a Hawai’ian hour (We get there when we get there). After the ride, we got our debriefings for the journey home before we sat down by the pool for our final night in Hawaii.
